General Information and Ideas
There is so much to be learned about the community and resources surrounding special needs, not to mention your child's particular concerns or diagnoses.
The navigation subjects to the left give you any idea of TLC's targeted areas.
As our efforts remain focused on care provisions, adventure and family health, our resources page can direct you to many helps and services provided by other organizations.
What TLC does and how it works:
In regards to assistance in finding care providers, The LaChris Connection is a non-profit organization and a vehicle for networking. Once TLC introduces, or somehow connects, folks to one another, their future working relationships are private and by choice. All final decisions about hours worked, what and how wages are paid, etc. are agreed upon, and carried out by, the family as employer and care provider as employee. TLC is here to assist and serve when possible.
FAQs concerning family and care provider relations:
Here we address parents' common questions concerning wage rates, Regional Center funding and the logistics of paying your domestic employees. Though these are varied and sometimes complex, TLC presents some information for you to review and research further on your own. We are not to be considered authorities on such subjects.
