TLC Events for Parents & Families

A Note to Families about our Events:

In keeping with The LaChris Connection's motto of "Lightening the Load" we love to have families feel especially welcomed and comfortable at any of our events. Our events are child and handicap friendly with caregivers mingling among us!

I remember when our family would attend public events, BBQ's, family gatherings, etc. It would often be hard to simply find a bowl and a spoon...not to mention a table that would accommodate a wheelchair or managing in the public restrooms. Our snacks are foods that are pleasing to children and appropriate for all abilities! We even have cots and chairs in the restrooms of our venues so that "changing" children is a comfortable task, unlike most public experiences.

We make every effort to accommodate common needs of children with disabilities and unique behaviors at all of our events. We realize that some of your children who have eating difficulties or challenging behaviors. Our care providers are prepared to help with feeding, entertaining, chasing or comforting your children while you enjoy relaxing and visiting!

Come to our occasions prepared to have a great time mingling with fellow parents, caring helpers and the supportive community! TLC also provides child care services and/or funding to cover needs that will help you attend any 'adult only' events.
